FAQ's

How Long Can My Party/Group Stay? 

We know that everyone wants to have a rock climbing party, so parties and groups are limited to 2 hours. For this time, you will have your party space and a designated staff member. After your party is over, you and your guests are welcome to stay with us to climb for the remainder of our open hours.

 

Do My Guests Need Waivers? 

Each of your guests, whether or not they'll be joining us on the walls, do need waivers. When you book your party or group through FareHarbor, there will be a link to the online waiver and a PDF of the waiver that can be downloaded and printed off that you can forward to your guests. You and your guests need only choose one of these methods. You can also scroll to the bottom of our website and find links to both the online waiver, and the PDF waiver, which you can point your guests to as well. We will, of course, have waivers available in the gym, however filling them out before ensures a speedy check in process! 

 

Does Climb Upstate Require a Deposit? 

A $60 deposit is required for all groups and parties and can be paid when you book your party online (see Online Booking), give us a call, or come in! This deposit does go back in to your final payment and will be subtracted from your total when you pay at the end of your party or group's visit. 

 

What are Belayers and Why Do I Need to Provide Them for Simply Fun Offerings? 

The more adults (ages 16+) you can provide to belay (hold the ropes for your climbers), the more your climbers will get to do what climbers do best! Our staff is there to belay, instruct in belaying and ensure the fun of all of your guests. This a great reason to encourage parents to stay and hang out! The more involved everyone is, the more fun your guests will have!

 

Can I Bring Outside Food and Refreshments? 

You are more than welcome to bring any outside food and non-alcoholic beverages. We provide a freezer and refrigerator that you are welcome to store food, ice cream, cakes, drinks, and more in.
